If the initial attack is countered and you have enough time to run then it must be preferable rather to stay and prolong the fight. 3-Learning the Basic Techniques
Having a self-defense training means to prepare yourself for the violent situations. However, sticking to the basic self-defense techniques is better than involving yourself with the complex and advanced moves. 4-Practicing & Drilling
Practice makes a man perfect and it is also applicable to the self-defense techniques. That is why, if one technique does not prove to be effective immediately try another one without wasting time.
6-Playing the Defensive Part
It is important to keep in mind that self-defense does not mean to fight with the assailant. The basic principle to defend rather than retaliation. Avoiding the attacks and clearing yourself from the moves should be the basic aim. Focus on defensive strategy rather than counterattacking because the opponent can be bigger in size and strength and retaliation can lead to injury. Hurting yourself during the process is not the ideal situation and opposite to self-defense training principles.
